Residents were alarmed by rising water levels as flooding worsened in Quemado, Texas.

Footage captured by Rebeca shows rainwater spreading across roads and low-lying areas, turning parts of the town into temporary waterways on July 14.

Flashes of lightning were also visible amid the downpour.

Rebeca said: 'Flooding happening in our little town. Worried but our pecan trees are happy!'

Authorities reported that flash flood warnings were in effect that day for multiple counties, including Uvalde, Kerr, Real, Kinney, and Maverick. Some were set to expire mid-morning, though extensions remained possible.
