A video filmed by Juan Luis Landaeta and shared by @nuevayorkypunto captures intense flooding inside New York City’s 28th Street subway station as torrential rain overwhelmed infrastructure on July 14.

The footage shows water gushing onto the platform and into the train cars, soaking commuters who were caught off guard by the sudden downpour.

Despite the chaotic scene, Landaeta noted that the train continued moving quickly, and the situation had improved by the time they reached the next stop.
