Devotees with LIVE snakes around their necks parade through streets in India
Hundreds of devotees parade through the streets of Samastipur, Bihar, with live snakes wrapped around their necks.
The event held on July 15 was part of a serpent festival that has been running in the city for more than 300 years.
According to Newsflare's filmer Sandeep Kumar, some of the snakes brandished by the devotees were venomous and even deadly to humans.
At the event of the festivities, the snakes are released after devotees drink milk and say a vow.
