On July 9, in a clothing store in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, an underground fire sprinkler pipe suddenly burst, causing the floor to crack and water to gush up from beneath.

Surveillance footage captured the moment chaos unfolded. A female customer trying on clothes attempted to flee the store but slipped and fell. The store owner rushed back to help her but also slipped multiple times due to the increasingly slick floor. Despite the disorder, no injuries were reported — though store merchandise suffered significant water damage.

The property management office of the building stated that the incident was caused by a rupture in a fire pipe buried about one meter underground. Emergency repairs are underway, and discussions regarding compensation are currently ongoing between management and the shop owner.
