GAZA, PALESTINE - JULY 16, 2025: At least five Palestinians were killed and many others injured in Israeli airstrikes on the Bureij Refugee Camp in the central Gaza Strip on Wednesday, July 16. Footage shows injured civilians, many of them children, receiving treatment at Al-Awda Hospital, while grieving relatives tearfully bid farewell to their loved ones and performed funeral prayers in the hospital courtyard. Separately, the Gaza Health Ministry reported that at least 38 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip, including many who suffocated from tear gas while waiting to receive aid. Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a genocidal war in Gaza since October 2023, killing nearly 58,600 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
