Exclusive: Snorkelers remove conch shell from ocean only to find huge octopus living inside - mollusc safely returned
A group of snorkelers found a conch shell during their dive and decided to take it with them. Upon returning to shore, they found a huge octopus living inside.
Footage captured in San Pedro, Belize, shows the snorkelers using their flippers in an attempt to pick up the octopus.
"We had a conch shell from snorkelling and the octopus came crawling out of the shell. We were trying to figure out how to pick him up and save him. We eventually got him back to the ocean and saved him," said the filmer.
