Chinese tourists' luggage stolen from bus during holiday in in Italy
A group of Chinese tourists were furious when their luggage was allegedly stolen from a bus in Italy.
More than 30 holidaymakers discovered that their bags were missing from the vehicle after visiting the Leaning Tower of Pisa on July 4.
Footage shows outraged travellers confronting the tour guide and bus operator following the incident.
Local media reported that the stolen items included valuable souvenirs and luxury gifts purchased during the trip, including a Rolex watch.
The bus had reportedly been parked near a restaurant located in a remote area before the organiser toured the unsuspecting holidaymakers in the tourist spot for more than 20 minutes.
Jin, one of the tourists, said: 'We did not feel the need to take our luggage with us on the trip because we were confident that nothing will get lost because there were surveillance cameras inside.
A police report was filed, but Jin claimed that authorities had not taken further action despite CCTV footage and the GPS location of the stolen belongings being available.
Italian police reportedly issued a loss report to assist the travellers with future insurance claims.
The group was on a multi-country tour covering France, Switzerland, Germany, and Italy.
Jin, who paid over 20,000 CNY (approximately 2,080 GBP) for the package, said the experience had tainted what was supposed to be a memorable holiday.
Italy remains one of the world's most visited countries, but it has also gained a reputation for crimes targeting tourists, including pickpocketing, bag snatching, and theft from parked vehicles.
