FALL RIVER, Mass. — The Fall River Police Department has released body-worn camera footage showing the dramatic rescue efforts during the July 13 fire at Gabriel House Assisted Living Facility.

The video offers a narrow but powerful view of the dangerous and chaotic conditions first responders faced that night. Armed with flashlights and executing explosive door-kicks, 11 officers and two sergeants displayed extraordinary bravery and professionalism as they worked alongside the Fall River Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services.

Their swift, coordinated response highlights the commitment of Fall River’s public safety personnel to protect and serve in the most challenging of circumstances.

City officials also acknowledged the outpouring of support from residents, businesses and community organizations in the days following the incident, emphasizing the community’s strength and compassion during times of crisis.
