LITTLE CANADA, Minn. — A Ramsey County community service officer helped reunite a mother duck with her ducklings after a storm drain rescue Monday near an assisted living center just off Rice Street.

According to a post from the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, the call came in on July 15 reporting that several ducklings had fallen into a storm drain on the property. Community Service Officer Sara responded to the scene.

Without hesitation, Sara jumped into action and safely rescued eight ducklings from the drain. All of them immediately waddled back to their mother, who had been waiting nearby on the curb.

“All appeared to be doing fine,” the sheriff’s office said in its social media post. “Great work, Sara!”
