Resident catches baby cobra with a plastic water bottle
A brave resident caught a baby cobra using a plastic water bottle.
The juvenile, highly venomous 2ft snake was spotted slithering across the floor of a family's home in Lopburi, Thailand.
Footage shows homeowner Worachai Gift Sirichan crouching on the ground, pinning the feisty reptile with tongs while holding the bottle in his other hand on June 4.
The serpent can be seen lunging at the container as the man tries to guide its head inside.
However, the agile snake continued wriggling to escape and even hid among a pile of items on the floor.
Worachai said: 'We eventually managed to catch the snake and safely placed it in the bottle. After that, we released it back into the forest.'
A king cobra's venom is powerful enough to kill 20 people or even an elephant with a single bite. It attacks the respiratory centres in the brain, leading to respiratory arrest and cardiac failure.
