Los Angeles, United States - July 18, 2025 07/18/2025 01:07 am GMT-0700 AVOCADO HEIGHTS, Calif. – California Highway Patrol officers from the Baldwin Park Area office received a call from the CHP Border Division regarding a stolen U-Haul truck, which was reported to be carrying stolen cargo. The vehicle was tracked heading northbound on the 57 Freeway at the 60 Freeway in the Diamond Bar area. Officers from the Baldwin Park and Santa Fe Springs Area offices, along with an airship from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, successfully located the stolen U-Haul traveling westbound on the 60 Freeway at Hacienda Boulevard in Hacienda Heights. CHP officers conducted a traffic stop on the stolen U-Haul at Crossroads Parkway Lane on the westbound 60 Freeway. During the stop, officers took one male suspect into custody. They discovered multiple boxes in the back of the U-Haul filled with Milwaukee tools, which were confirmed to be stolen. The U-Haul was then taken back to the CHP Baldwin Park Area office for further investigation into the stolen property.
