Heavy rain is expected to continue in parts of Rajasthan on Saturday, with red alert issued in Ajmer, Bhilwara, Bundi, Kota and Tonk for extremely heavy rainfall.

Several low-lying areas of Pushkar submerged on Friday after heavy rain continued to lash parts of Rajasthan. 52 ghats of Pushkar Lake were flooded and residential areas around Badi River also witnessed waterlogging following heavy rainfall in Ajmer.

Earlier today, authorities declared a holiday in schools in Ajmer district in view of the incessant rainfall. A flood-like situation was witnessed in several low-lying areas in Pushkar after it was battered by incessant rainfall for several hours.

Shops and houses in the main market area in Pushkar were also flooded, while vehicles were seen floating on waterlogged streets.
