Los Angeles, United States - July 19, 2025 07/19/2025 01:59 am GMT-0700 East Hollywood – A major emergency response is underway in East Hollywood after a vehicle slammed into a crowd of people early Saturday morning, leaving at least 25 individuals injured in what authorities are calling a multi-casualty incident. The crash occurred shortly before 2 a.m. in the 4600 block of Santa Monica Boulevard. Initial 911 calls described a chaotic scene involving multiple victims struck by a vehicle. Emergency crews arrived within minutes and began triage operations. As of 2:16 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department reported that four patients had been categorized as “immediate” — indicating life-threatening injuries — with eight to ten more in “delayed” status and at least 15 others sustaining minor injuries. Multiple ambulances are currently on scene transporting victims to nearby hospitals. Details about the vehicle involved or the circumstances leading up to the crash were not immediately available. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the incident was accidental or intentional. The investigation is ongoing, and traffic in the area remains heavily impacted as emergency crews continue to assess and treat the injured. Please See Interview With LAFD PIO Cpt. Adam VanGerpen for further details regarding the incident.
