Coldplay isn't here! Strip club has cheeky sign telling husbands they're safe inside
A strip club jumped on the Coldplay affair meme - with a cheeky sign telling husbands they are safe inside.
Footage captured by Anna Riulas shows the cinema-style sign outside the Penthouse in Vancouver, Canada, on July 19.
The text reads: 'Don't worry, guys. Coldplay isn't here,'
The humorous phrase plays on the idea that married men can enjoy the club discreetly with their lap dancers, without the risk of being caught on camera by their wives.
Anna said: 'I filmed the banner this Saturday when I was just walking around the neighbourhood. They change the board quite often with something funny to say, so I always check what's new.'
The signage has been turning heads among locals following the scandal involving tech boss Andy Byron, who was caught on the Coldplay 'kiss cam' with his suspected mistress.
The CEO of Astronomer was seen embracing his colleague Kristin Cabot, 56, before ducking out if view at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on July 16.
The couple, who appeared on the stadium's jumbotron, seemed startled upon seeing themselves on camera.
Andy immediately ducked and hid his face when he realised they were on the screen, while Kristin turned away and covered her face with her hands in embarrassment.
This prompted Chris Martin to quip: 'Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy'.
The incident quickly spread, sparking parodies on kiss cams at sporting events and concerts, with announcers jokingly referencing the couple's reaction.
Following the incident, both Byron and Cabot were placed on administrative leave as the company's board launched a formal investigation into the incident.
On July 19, Andy Byron officially resigned as CEO while Human Resources Chief Kristin Cabot remains on leave.
Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy has been appointed interim CEO, with the board now conducting a search for a permanent successor.
