A man was spotted hitching a ride on the back of a tuk-tuk while dragging his broken scooter.

Footage captured by mechanic Tam Theeraphong shows the man sitting at the rear of the vehicle while holding onto the black motorbike in Bangkok, Thailand.

The tuk-tuk driver carefully manoeuvres a U-turn with the damaged scooter trailing behind on June 14.

Its front tyre can be seen mounted on the back of the vehicle, while the rear wheel rolls along the asphalt.

Tam said: 'They arrived with the broken-down scooter due to a faulty battery, so we just had to replace it.'

Improvised towing methods like this are generally prohibited under Thai traffic regulations, which require vehicles to be safely secured and transported to prevent road hazards.
