Los Angeles, United States - July 22, 2025 07/21/2025 07:30 pm GMT-0700 POMONA, Calif. – California Highway Patrol from the Baldwin Park Area office and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a shooting on the eastbound 60 Freeway at the Garey Avenue exit. Upon arrival, officers and firefighters began performing CPR on a victim who had suffered a gunshot wound to the neck. The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Authorities have one suspect in custody along with two firearms. It remains unclear whether the shooting was provoked by road rage. As the investigation continued, CHP closed the eastbound lanes of the 60 Freeway at the Garey Avenue off-ramp. Details of the shooting are still under investigation, and CHP has not yet released further information.
