Driver flees as electric vehicle suddenly bursts into flames whilst charging in China
On July 17, at a charging station in Beijing, an elelctric vehicle suddenly caught fire and exploded while undergoing fast charging. Fortunately, the driver had exited the car in time and was unharmed, but the vehicle was completely destroyed by the blaze.
The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
