GAZA, PALESTINE - JULY 23, 2025: An Israeli airstrike hit a residential home belonging to the Abu Shamala family in the Bureij Refugee Camp in central Gaza, on July 23, causing massive destruction. Footage from the scene shows the moment the house was struck, reducing parts of the structure to rubble. The attack comes amid ongoing Israeli military operations across the blockaded Gaza Strip, where densely populated civilian areas continue to be targeted. Israel has killed more than 59,200 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in the Gaza Strip since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, collapsed the health system, and led to severe food shortages. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
