Los Angeles, United States - July 22, 2025 07/22/2025 04:30 pm GMT-0700 CANOGA PARK, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Reports of a suspicious item resembling a bomb were made Tuesday afternoon after it was discovered inside a donation bin at a Salvation Army thrift store on Roscoe Boulevard. The Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene, and the area was cordoned off as the bomb squad was called in. Families and staff were evacuated from the store and a nearby rehabilitation center. Upon investigation, the bomb squad determined the item was an inert M31 practice grenade, which had been located in the processing warehouse where donations are dropped off.
