On July 22, in Shanxia Village, Huanggang Town, Raoping County, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province, heavy rainfall caused river levels to rise sharply.
As a result, large numbers of fish that originally lived in the river swam into the village and over a hundred of them even made their way into the home of a local resident, Mr. Xu.
Mr. Xu said that the water has since receded and the rainfall has lessened. He and his family caught the fish that had entered their home and later released them into the village fish pond once the flooding subsided.
