Parts of a historic watermill dating back to Roman Times have been restored in Kent, UK (July 24).

Swale Council & Sittingbourne Society have worked to restore the mill wheel in Milton Regis nr Sittingbourne, Kent.

The mill wheel has been restored and painted and the surviving brickwork repaired, using materials salvaged from the original mill house in Periwinkle Close.

Roman Samian pottery was found on the site, suggesting its use as a mill spanned two millennia.

Footage also shows Milton Regis high street and old Court Hall (built c1450) and Milton Creek.
