This is the seventh campaign organized by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, and it has been coordinated across all governorates simultaneously from this Saturday until the next Saturday, Allah willing. The goal is to collect as many blood units and its derivatives as possible to reach our people and brothers in Gaza. This seventh campaign follows six previous campaigns, and thanks to Allah and the efforts of the youth, everything has been coordinated, and the blood has reached our people and brothers in Gaza." RAMALLAH, WEST BANK, PALESTINE - JULY 24: A blood donation campaign is underway across the West Bank to assist Palestinians injured in Israel's ongoing military operations in the Gaza Strip. Initiated last Saturday, July 19, by the Palestinian Health Ministry under the slogan “Our Blood is One,” the campaign has seen significant public engagement in urban centers, towns, and refugee camps. The ministry has supplemented fixed donation sites with mobile clinics visiting various neighborhoods to facilitate contributions. Speaking to Anadolu from a mobile collection unit, Health Ministry official Dr. Mohammed Jaradat noted this represents the seventh organized blood drive since the conflict began. He emphasized their objective to secure maximum blood units and derivatives for medical treatment in Gaza. As Israel's military campaign enters its tenth month following the October 7, 2023 outbreak of hostilities, civilian areas continue to bear the brunt of the violence. The sustained military actions persist despite International Court of Justice interventions and widespread international demands for cessation. According to Gaza health authorities, the conflict has claimed over 38,000 Palestinian lives, with women and children comprising the majority of casualties. The reported injury count exceeds 86,000, while thousands remain unaccounted for or trapped beneath destroyed structures. Writing by Sibel Uygun
