VARIOUS OF MOVING THROUGH AID DISTRIBUTION POINTGAZA, PALESTINE - JULY 24: Thousands of Palestinian women reported facing life-threatening conditions on Thursday, July 24, as they attempted to reach American aid distribution points in Khan Younis, a city in the southern Gaza Strip. Messages sent to Palestinian women stated that aid would be distributed exclusively to women in day. However, those who arrived at the designated locations encountered chaotic and overcrowded conditions. Many women said they were met with violent conduct and verbal abuse by soldiers while trying to receive aid. They described the experience as “painful” and “dangerous enough to be fatal.” The Israeli army resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18 and has since killed 8,447 people and injured 31,457 others, shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave. Writing by Nur Zeynep Dukmen
