US: Marine Enforcement Section Rescues Seven People And Two Dogs From Sinking Boat During Storm
United States - July 23, 2025 On July 23, 2025, at 3:45 p.m., deputies from the Marine Enforcement Section responded to a distress call from a boat taking on water amid a storm. The vessel, carrying seven people and two dogs, became inoperable, prompting a 911 call. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue and the U.S. Coast Guard also joined the rescue efforts. All individuals and animals were safely rescued and unharmed. Deputies helped them return to their dock in Apollo Beach. This rescue highlights the strong coordination between #teamHCSO, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, and the U.S. Coast Guard in emergency situations.
