This is the moment a tourist was rescued by a passing boat after falling off his jet ski.

Sirichai Phromjarurn and his crew spotted the holidaymaker struggling in the Samui–Phangan Strait in Surat Thani province, Thailand.

The discovery prompted them to launch a swift rescue operation on June 24.

Footage shows the man wearing a life vest swimming toward the boat, while a local in a life jacket approached the inoperable jet ski nearby.

One of the staff members helped the tourist aboard, while another retrieved his belongings from the watercraft.

Other foreign passengers looked on as the rescue unfolded.

Sirichai said: 'The man was okay, and we were so glad we were able to rescue him on time. The jet ski wouldn't start, so we tied a rope to haul it back to the dock.'
