VARIOUS OF DEMONSTRATORS RALLYING UNDER HEAVY RAIN, CHANTING SLOGANS, HOLDING BANNERS, DEMANDING RECALL OF KMT PARTY MEMBERS TAIPEI, TAIWAN - JULY 24: Demonstrators rallied in Taipei under heavy rain on Thursday (July 24) to call for recalling of 24 lawmakers from Taiwan’s Kuomintang (KMT) party ahead of parliamentary elections on Saturday.

Holding placards that read “Great Recall, Great Success,” participants urged the removal of legislators seen as too closely aligned with Beijing.

The rally came one day before the scheduled vote, when Taiwanese citizens will decide whether the targeted lawmakers should be ousted from parliament.
