According to Greek media reports, strong winds caused the fire to spread rapidly across the region.
Authorities found the burned body of an individual, believed to have been attempting to escape the flames by vehicle, on the Limassol highway.
The victim’s identity has not yet been determined, and police have urged caution on roads near active fire zones.
