Update: A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder concerning the death at this hotel. The body of male in his 30s is discovered, police and fire specialist teams comb the fire site. Next of kin have been notified say police. After the fire on Tuesday the 21st July at The landmark Narrowcliff Hotel and adjoining Hotel Bristol, both semi derelict and earmarked for demolition, prior to development of the site to provide high-rise apartments, the circumstances of the fire and the death have triggered a forensic investigation at the site. Specialist teams are seen with a sniffer dog at the rear of the site. Local councillor Joanne Kenny has reiterated calls for Council action on derelict buildings in the town, many of which are earmarked for development, to reduce the dangers inherent in decaying and insecure buildings to the public.
