SANAA, YEMEN - JULY 25, 2025: Thousands of Yemenis gathered in Sanaa on Friday, July 25, to protest Israel’s ongoing military offensive on the Gaza Strip and its blockade on humanitarian aid, which is pushing Palestinians into starvation.

The demonstration took place in the capital’s Sabeen Square, where participants waved Palestinian flags and held banners condemning Israel's genocidal war policies and relentless bombardment of Gaza.

Protesters chanted slogans in solidarity with the people of Gaza, calling for an immediate end to the attacks and the full lifting of restrictions on the delivery of life-saving aid to the besieged enclave.

Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a genocidal war on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, killing more than 59,600 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Deaths by starvation have climbed in recent days due to a months-long blockade and poor distribution of aid by the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
