Cape Town, South Africa - 26 July 2025: Julius Malema, the leader of the left-wing Economic Freedom Fighter's (EFF), sang the controversial anti-apartheid struggle song "Kill the Boer" at the close of the party's 12th anniversary rally in the township of Khayelitsha. The song was recently played on a screen at the White House during a meeting between President Donald Trump and a South African government delegation led by President Cyril Ramaphosa. The song has been falsely used as a basis for claiming that white South African farmers are facing a genocide and also played a part in the Trump administration providing forty nine Afrikaners refugee status and airlifting them out of the country. Malema has defiantly continued to sing the song at his party's events.
