Devotees slide on handrail to go down steep temple stairway in Thailand
Temple staff have mastered sliding along a metal handrail - to save time on their long walks back down a set of stairs.
Staff have to make arduous treks up the 3,800-step trail to take supplies to a shrine at the top of a hill at the Wat Khao Wong Phrachan temple in Lopburi, Thailand.
But to save time, monks installed the metal handrail for people to slide down during the ascent.
Footage shows one of the workers using a mat to wizz along the metal surface.
He said: 'Walking to the top is hard work. It's even more difficult on a hot day. But coming back down is fun.'
