Israeli strike on aid seekers in central Gaza kills 11, injures 101(2)
***WARNING: VIDEO MAY CONTAIN SENSITIVE IMAGES / DEAD BODIES***
SHOTLIST:
GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE (JULY 27, 2025) (ANADOLU – ACCESS ALL)
1. VARIOUS OF BODIES LYING ON HOSPITAL GROUND AS PALESTINIANS MOURN OVER RELATIVES AND PRAY
2. VARIOUS OF PALESTINIANS RETURNING WITH AID PACKS IN SALAH AL-DIN STREET GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - JULY 27: Eleven people lost their lives and 101 others were injured when Israeli forces bombed civilians waiting for aid on Salah al-Din Street in central Gaza, Al-Awda Hospital said on Sunday, July 27.
The wounded and the dead were taken to Awda Hospital, where families mourned over their loved ones killed while trying to access basic supplies.
The attacks came although Israel announced plans on Sunday for localized temporary pauses in fighting to allow aid deliveries through designated safe corridors, amid mounting accusations that such measures are an attempt to whitewash its role in the deepening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
Israel has imposed a blockade on Gaza for 18 years and, since March 2, has shut down all crossings, blocking the entry of aid convoys and ignoring international calls to reopen them.
Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a brutal offensive on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, killing nearly 60,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children. The relentless bombardment has destroyed the enclave and led to food shortages.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
