Storyline: Construction of the Xunwu pumped-storage power station in east China’s Jiangxi Province began Sunday morning, with a total investment of 7.967 billion yuan (about 1.11 billion U.S. dollars). Once completed, the facility is expected to generate 1.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, sufficient to meet the yearly power needs of approximately 750,000 households.
