Kids whizz down handrail down 2,000 steps in this park
This is the impressive moment locals were seen sliding down a handrail along 2,000 steps in a park.
Jan Thomas Sandvik and his friends were climbing Linabo Peak when they saw two residents using the rail guards to descend to the foot of the mountain in Dipolog, the Philippines.
Footage shows a schoolboy carrying his backpack and skidding down while sitting on the metal bar with ease on July 22.
Moments later, a man heading to work also slid down and even greeted the visitors with a cheerful 'Good morning' as he passed by.
They could be seen using a small rug to protect their hands from potential burns and to prevent injury during the ride.
Linabo Peak stands at 1,594 ft (486 m) above sea level, with a village located midway up the mountain. There are more than 5,000 steps leading to the peak.
