US, Los Angeles: Paramount Vehicle Leaves Freeway And Strikes Bicyclist
Los Angeles, United States - July 29, 2025 07/29/2025 03:01 am GMT-0700 PARAMOUNT, Calif. – The Compton Fire Department and California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to a report of a vehicle versus bicyclist incident on the 710 Freeway near Alondra Boulevard. Upon arrival, CHP found a Honda sedan that had left the roadway for unknown reasons. The vehicle is believed to have struck a bicyclist who was riding near the Los Angeles River. Firefighters from Compton cut through a chain-link fence to reach the injured bicyclist. Authorities suspect that the driver of the Honda fled the scene on foot. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by CHP's East Los Angeles Area office.
