US, Bakersfield: Lemoore Military F-35 Crash Near Naval Base Leaves Wreckage Burning For Hours Part 2
Bakersfield, United States - July 31, 2025 07/30/2025 07:30 pm GMT-0700 LEMOORE, Calif. – A U.S. Navy F-35C Lightning II fighter jet crashed Wednesday near Naval Air Station Lemoore at South Dickenson Avenue and West Cadillac Avenue. According to a statement from the base, the pilot safely ejected and survived the crash. Video from the scene shows the aircraft fully engulfed in flames more than two hours after impact. The surrounding area has been locked down as military and federal investigators begin examining the wreckage. No injuries on the ground have been reported, and the cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
