1. VARIOUS OF VEHICLES MOVING ON ROAD (AUDIO OF SIREN SOUNDS) JERUSALEM - AUG. 1, 2025 - Sirens sounded across several regions of Israel on Friday after a missile was launched from Yemen, according to the Israeli army.

A military statement said the projectile was intercepted after alarms went off in several locations, including Bnei Brak, Givat Shmuel, Ramat Gan in the Gush Dan region, Ramla, Beer Yaakov, Nes Ziona, Rishon LeZion, Rehovot, Judea, Dead Sea, Jerusalem, and Samaria.

The daily Yediot Ahronot said that several incoming flights to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport were delayed midair during the alert.

No casualties or damage were immediately reported.

Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree confirmed that his group had fired a hypersonic ballistic missile at Ben Gurion airport, saying the strike “hit its target successfully.”

He said the missile attack had caused four million Israelis to rush to shelters.

According to Israeli figures, the Houthis have launched 67 ballistic missiles and 17 drones at Israel since March 18.

The Houthis have intensified missile and drone strikes on Israel since Israeli forces resumed attacks on the Gaza Strip in March after two months of a shaky ceasefire.

Since November 2023, the group has also targeted commercial shipping in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea in support of Palestinians in Gaza, where more than 60,300 victims have been killed in an Israeli onslaught.
