Mount Lewotobi Laki Laki in Flores, Indonesia, erupted on Friday evening, August 1, ejecting ash up to 19.2 km (63,000 feet) above sea level. The volcano then erupted for a second straight day on Saturday, sending a column of volcanic materials and ash up to 18 km (11 miles) into the sky.
