US, Phoenix: Buckeye Vehicle Pursuit
Phoenix, United States - August 02, 2025 08/01/2025 11:30 pm GMT-0700 BUCKEYE, Ariz. – Just before midnight, Department of Public Safety Troopers and Phoenix police began following a red car traveling westbound on Interstate 10. The vehicle was speeding with no lights on, reaching speeds of over 100 mph. Troopers initiated a pursuit, but the driver accelerated, exceeding 120 mph and evading capture. The vehicle attempted to exit at Miller Road but lost control and crashed into the median beneath the Interstate 10 overpass. Authorities quickly detained the driver and started questioning him. No officers were injured during the pursuit, and there were no reported injuries to any motorists. The reasons behind the driver’s decision to flee remain unclear, and no further details have been released.
