Storyline: Rescuers rushed to evacuate villagers in Xianyou County of east China's Fujian Province on Friday as rainstorm triggered flood and inundated houses. Firefighters used ladder bridge and rope passages to transfer the five trapped people to safe areas. China's National Meteorological Center maintained a yellow alert for rainstorms in several parts of the country on Saturday. It forecast heavy rainfall from Saturday to Sunday across parts of Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Shanxi, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and Taiwan Island. Local governments have been urged to take necessary precautions and inspect drainage systems in cities and villages.
