Relentless rain continues to wreak havoc across Himachal Pradesh. On August 1, a cloudburst struck the Malana region in the Parvati Valley of Kullu district, leading to a sudden surge of water that caused significant damage.

The Malana-I hydropower project's cofferdam, which was under repair at the time, partially collapsed due to the flash flood. The powerful water current swept away a hydra machine, a dumper truck, a rock breaker, and a camper vehicle.

Footage from the scene shows the ferocity of the floodwaters and heavy machinery being carried downstream. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in the incident.

According to the District Disaster Management Authority, the situation unfolded rapidly during ongoing maintenance work. Authorities are closely monitoring the area, and residents are being advised to remain cautious as the risk of further weather-related incidents continues.
