US, Phoenix: Scottsdale Driver Arrested After Crashing Into Police Car
Phoenix, United States - August 03, 2025 08/02/2025 11:30 pm GMT-0700 SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – According to the Scottsdale Police Department, a traffic collision involving a patrol vehicle occurred on Scottsdale Road just north of Virginia Avenue Saturday evening. The collision occurred around 11:30 p.m. when a white SUV rear-ended a Scottsdale Police Durango in the southbound lanes. According to information gathered at the scene, the force of the impact caused the Durango to collide with the rear of another police car. Scottsdale police say one officer was transported to the hospital for evaluation. The driver of the white SUV was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Southbound lanes of Scottsdale Road were closed at Thomas Road for several hours as Vehicle Crimes and Reconstruction Unit detectives took measurements and photographed the scene.
