【Voice_over】 New data from China’s National Immigration Administration shows that the country’s foreign tourism has increased in the first six months of this year compared to last, thanks largely to the country’s visa-free travel program According to the NIA, foreign nationals took more than 38 million trips to or from China in Q 1 and 2, an increase of more than 30 percent year on year. [Voiceover] Meanwhile, the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection say they’ve launched eight mobile device apps to assist passengers with the customs process and have added more stations for visitors to fill out paperwork. Border inspection officers say the measures have greatly facilitated the entry process. [Soundbite] Border inspection officer in Beijing: "At the border inspection areas of both Beijing Capital International Airport and Beijing Daxing International Airport, we have added and upgraded a total of 11 dedicated channels for temporary entry permits. This initiative streamlines the process, allowing issuance and verification to be completed in a single step with one-stop information review across multiple systems. This helps increase the efficiency of issuing temporary entry permits by 60 percent." [Voiceover] China's visa-free travel policy is available to nationals from more than 40 countries and lets the traveler stay in China for up to 30 days. [Restrictions: No access Chinese mainland]
