Footage shows the preschooler chasing her mother as she struggles to hold onto the pink umbrella amid strong gusts of wind in Hunan.

The child tries to catch the umbrella as it is swept into the air while her mum continues walking on August 3.

The girl then dashes toward her unaware parent, rushing back to their apartment complex.

An onlooker said: 'After the umbrella blew away, the kid tried to run after her mum and kept calling her.'
