5. PALESTINIAN MAN SPEAKING TO REPORTER (Arabic) KHAN YOUNIS, PALESTINE - AUGUST 5, 2025: Due to food shortages in Gaza, Palestinians continue to flock to so-called aid distribution points controlled by the US and Israel, risking their lives to feed themselves and their children.

Israeli forces intensified attacks on civilians attempting to reach aid at the “Morag Corridor” between Khan Younis and Rafah.

Dozens of Palestinians injured by Israeli gunfire while waiting for aid at the distribution point were brought to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.

The Israeli army, rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, has pursued a brutal offensive on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, killing more than 61,000 Palestinians, almost half of them women and children. Israel’s military campaign has devastated the enclave and brought it to the verge of famine.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
