Los Angeles, United States - August 05, 2025 08/05/2025 02:00 am GMT-0700 EASTVALE, Calif. – Kern County Sheriff's deputies initiated a pursuit of a silver 2008 Honda sedan traveling southbound on Highway 14, past Rosamond Boulevard, at speeds exceeding 100 mph. The vehicle, which originated from Mojave, prompted the request for assistance from the California Highway Patrol's Antelope Valley (AV) office. As the chase continued, the vehicle was reported southbound on Sierra Highway, passing Marie Avenue. The AV CHP positioned themselves to assist with the pursuit. Shortly thereafter, the Mojave CHP took over the chase, moving eastbound on Avenue E from Sierra Highway. The pursuit continued with updates indicating the vehicle was moving eastbound on Avenue E through 60th Street East, followed by southbound on 70th Street East from Avenue E. Further updates detailed the vehicle traveling southbound on 70th Street East through Avenue G and then eastbound on Avenue H through 80th Street East. The driver maintained a southbound trajectory, moving down 90th Street East from Avenue H at speeds of up to 90 mph. The pursuit remained intense as the vehicle passed through each intersection, eastbound on Avenue J from 90th Street East at 100 mph, and subsequently through 100th Street East at 100 mph and 110th Street East at 120 mph. As the pursuit unfolded, the driver turned south on Longview Road from Avenue J and then eastbound on Avenue K from Longview Road, during which the driver reportedly threw an object out of the window. Continuing southbound, the vehicle reached speeds of 70 mph on 150th Street East from Avenue K, then accelerated to 100 mph while passing through Avenue N. The car proceeded south on 170th Street East from Avenue O, reaching speeds of 90 mph and later exceeding 100 mph from Avenue S. The high-speed chase persisted as the vehicle approached Pearblossom Highway, maintaining 100 mph, before heading eastbound on Pearblossom Highway from 165th Street East. As law enforcement pursued, the vehicle crossed Highway 138 at speeds of up to 120 mph, requesting that Victorville CHP take over. Updates reported the vehicle moving eastbound on Highway 138 through Beekley Road at 100 mph and approaching Highway 2 at 80 mph. During the pursuit, the driver exited southbound on the 15 Freeway from Highway 138. The situation escalated as the vehicle came to a stop on the Baseline off-ramp but fled once more. Eventually, following the pursuit, the vehicle stopped again on the southbound 15 at Riverside Drive, where the driver was taken into custody.
