Phoenix, United States - August 05, 2025 08/05/2025 03:15 am GMT-0700 GLENDALE, Ariz. – Glendale police, fire department crews, and Maricopa Ambulance medics responded to reports of a vehicle versus bicyclist collision near the intersection of 65th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. According to information gathered at the scene, a female on a bicycle was struck by a blue Ford SUV while crossing Bethany Home Road. The victim was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and was cooperating with officers as they conducted their investigation. Officers were seen administering a field sobriety test to the driver of the SUV. The results of the test have yet to be confirmed. Glendale Police established a hard closure for Bethany Home Road, spanning from 65th Avenue to 67th Avenue while officers investigated the incident.
