Panic on Bali–Lombok Night Ferry After Sudden Blackout and Engine Failure
This happened on the night of August 1st to 2nd, around midnight, on a regular ferry trip from Bali to Lombok.
At first, everything was calm — until the lights suddenly went out.
People began panicking, screaming, and fighting over life jackets.
There were no announcements or instructions. We had no idea what was happening.
For an entire hour, we stood still on the water with a broken engine.
Then the ferry slowly started moving again — but the tension remained.
With recent tsunami alerts and earthquakes in Indonesia, everyone feared the worst.
I filmed the moment, not even sure if it was real or a dream.
