This is the amusing moment a scooter rider skidded on a wet road - then slipped and crashed again as he tried to ride away.

Motorist Natthaphat was driving with his family on the busy highway when the local, wearing a helmet, suddenly lost control of his vehicle in Bangkok, Thailand.

CCTV footage shows the black two-wheeler drifting uncontrollably in the middle of the motorway as the man attempted to make a turn from the opposite lane on July 30.

The yellow motorbike spun out before toppling over on the wet asphalt, sending the rider flying to the ground.

When the rider picked up the vehicle, he accidentally twisted the throttle, causing the scooter to lurch forward at Natthaphat's car, hitting the front corner.

A taxi then rear-ended Natthaphat's car when he abruptly stopped on the motorway.

He said: 'We were driving around the city when both of them crashed into my car. Luckily, we all have car insurance.'

No injuries were reported from the incident.
