A doorbell cam captured the hilarious moment a man lost his balance and ended up headfirst in his garden bushes.

Mark Savery, 65, was taking out the recycling when he lost his footing walking up the stairs.

He slipped on wet grass and toppled headfirst into the front garden bushes - becoming almost completely swallowed by the hedge.

Mark returned inside and told his wife Janine Savery, 61, what had happened.

The couple were in tears of laughter as they watched the footage of his tumble.

Janine, from Reading, Berkshire, said: "We were literally crying laughing watching it."

"I've showed it to loads of people and everyone finds it hysterical."

"It feels like it should be in 'You've Been Framed'!"

Mark luckily escaped the fall without any injury, but the bush wasn't so lucky.

His impact left a noticeable dent in the hedge, which Mark will soon have to clip to even out

Janine said: "Mark is alright which is the most important thing."

"But the bush has a big hole from where he fell."

"He's said he'll clip it down so it doesn't look so egregious!"
